Classroom Management
How do we manage?
“The most important factor governing student learning is Classroom Management” (Wong). I believe classroom management is easily implemented when students know their expectations and are compelled to stay on task. I also value the importance of student choice believing it peaks student interest and involvement. I believe in student-centered classrooms where there is an accepting atmosphere of mutual respect and support. Students are encouraged to learn by their environment. Maintaining a power-with relationship with students is possible once classroom routines and procedures are understood and practiced. I value student voice and will nurture a positive learning environment by setting high standards for my students.

Classroom Management Plan
Classroom control, influence, and regulation comes from a well developed management plan. I have developed a classroom management plan during my undergraduate study. Although the plan will change as I learn more about teaching and have more experiences, I have a created an organized document to help me develop a well-managed classroom. I will implement several different routines and practices from my Classroom Management Plan in my classroom! During student teaching, some of these expectations and plans were implemented and practiced.
